Hang drapes with coated hangers to keep them off wet floors, and take cushions or pillows out from wet furniture.

4. Avoid Using Electrical Items: Steer clear of any electric or electronic items that may have been exposed to water. This includes light fixtures, ceiling fans, TVs, or appliances. If there’s a chance someone may turn on an electric item that has come into contact with water, consider switching off the power to the affected circuits from the property’s electrical panel.
